LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear friends,

The past year; again, has been a busy one for the Executive and has seen the passing to his higher life of our Vice-President and friend Luther, which I reported in the news letter.

This has been another year in which the Association finances have been stretched to their limit.

The Executive and committee strive to keep K.I.H.A. in the forefront of healing organisations for its members and the Healing group as a whole. Setting up the Association to achieve this has required very tight financial control. We are a spiritually minded organisation but we have to deal with the practicalities of life and trust we are motivated in this by our healing ministry principles.

We have a lot of external pressure trying to regulate our Healing purpose and as this is mostly government directed we have to take note. Only about 5 or 6 years ago the Healing group was generally left to run their associations as they thought best.

We are now producing training manuals, C.P.D. code of conduct and disciplinary procedures under our own authority; this is to enable the association and its members to retain their own identity and control.  

These publications have incurred necessary expenses to achieve, but without them the Association was dependent on others for manuals, code of conduct etc. and the input of others for their content.

The K.I.H.A. is one of the oldest established healing organisations and must retain its independence as a self governing association.

As a registered charity the association must be run for the benefit of its members and the community as a whole. Personal financial gain from charity funds is against charity law.
