LETTER FROM THE TRAINING CO-ORDINATOR

We are now near completing another year of our Training program, with this year seeing the introduction of the New Foundation Healing Course.

Being able to have a structured course with questions laid out for them, has proved to be a great aid to the Tutors and also to the Students.

It has been a lot of hard work over the past 3 years putting this program together, you will see by the work that is now going on in other organisations with the new changes required by the Government that I think we have got it right.

We have worked hard to keep up with all the new changes that are coming in, but I have to say that the program we have now adopted has always been at the forefront of all the training requirements required at this moment in time.

It would be easy to say that we have got there, but that is not the case. CPD (Continued Professional Development) is coming to the notice of UK Healers, BAHA and CHO. As many of you know that it is now obligatory in many organisations and businesses to adopt CPD.

I said last year this will not be a compulsory step but a requirement that will have to be in place and available to our members.  Due to the workload this year for me I was unable to compile the course but have already started it, to be available next year. We have taken steps to these ends and know that what we produce will cover all of the requirements that should be required by BAHA and the Government at this time.

We have to date 75 Registered Tutors in England and 13 in Europe, with 10 Assessors. We have more members ready for the next Tutor workshop in early spring next year, with further students to be assessed in January 2006.  So as you can see we are making good progress.

This year I was able to set up an office in The Algarve and also in Lisbon in Portugal. I have had meetings in Vienna and Klagenfurt this year, resulting in the early stages of development with healers in Austria, hoping we will be able to work together in the near future.

I am still able to have a radio spot on Sunday mornings in The Algarve on Kiss FM radio that allows me to talk about Healing and following on, I have a 30 minute phone-in.
